Instagram allows users to peek at the activities of other people. If you want to avoid being peeked at, you can turn off the “Show when you’re active together” toggle. This will automatically turn off when you hide your online status. You can also turn off the “In the chat” prompt.
Show when you’re active together toggle automatically turns off when concealing your online status
If you want to prevent your followers from seeing your online status, you can disable Facebook’s “Show when you’re active together” feature. To do so, navigate to Settings > Privacy > “Active Status.” Here, you can toggle off “Show when you’re online” and hide your online status.
Alternatively, you can also turn off this option for certain contacts. Facebook‘s Messenger allows you to choose whether you want to hide your status for everyone or just certain people. To hide your status from specific people, you can enter the name of the person you’d like to hide.
Hide your activity status
If you don’t want people to know what you’re doing on Instagram, you can turn off the “Show activity status” option. This feature shows when you’re online, and you can turn it off at any time. However, it won’t hide your recent activity, so people you’re chatting with on Instagram will still be able to see what you’re up to.
You can hide your activity status on Instagram by going to settings > Account>Privacy>Hide Activity Status. This setting allows you to block the activity of anyone who follows you on Instagram. The only people who can see your activity status are people you’re following and those with whom you’ve had direct conversations. If you’d like to be able to view the activity status of other Instagram users, you can enable notifications on your profile.
Turn off the “In the Chat” prompt
To turn off the “In the Chat” prompt on your Instagram account, go to Settings > Account > General > Privacy. Under the Advanced section, you will find a button called Show Prompt. This button automatically opens up the chat window. You can also select Show online/offline to set when you are available. This option can be turned off at any time. This prompt may appear on your Instagram account if you are not online.
Turn off the “Activity Status”
Instagram users might want to turn off the active status so that people can’t see their messages and other posts. You can do this in your profile settings. While you’re signed in to Instagram, click on the profile icon and select Settings. From there, click on Privacy and Security. Then, uncheck “Show activity status.”
You can also turn off the active status in your browser. Go to your Instagram profile and click on the profile icon at the top right corner. Then, select “Privacy” from the drop-down menu. On the Privacy tab, find “Show Activity Status” and click on the toggle to turn it off. This will prevent people from seeing your active status or seeing who you’re texting.

Disabling the active status toggle on Instagram will stop people from seeing when you’re online and the last time you logged into the platform. This feature encourages you to use the platform more. If you want to disable the active status for each of your accounts, you need to do a few things.

Turn off the “Activity Status” toggle

Turn off the “Activity Status” toggle for a third account
Instagram users can turn off the “Activity Status” toggle on their third accounts in order to prevent their followers from viewing their last activity. This feature is available in the settings section. You can enable it by default, but if you don’t want to share your last activity with others, you can turn it off for the third account separately.
In order to do this, you should login to your Instagram account. Then, go to the settings section on the right-hand side. Here, you will see your profile. From there, you will see a section titled “Turn off the “Activity Status” for a third account.” You can also click on “Show profile information” to see your account information.
