If you’d like to cancel your subscription or your custom domain, there are a few things you can do. Alternatively, you can disable your store. Read on to learn how. Here are the steps:
Cancel subscription
If you want to discontinue your subscription to Shopify, you can do so in a few steps. First, log into your Shopify account. Next, navigate to the Settings page. Click the Plan tab. From here, you can select to cancel or pause your subscription. Choosing the latter option will delete your account. If you do not wish to permanently shut down your store, you can choose to pause your subscription and temporarily close your account.
Alternatively, you can close the store manually. However, you must make sure to clear the outstanding charges. Otherwise, you will not be able to reopen the store. Also, if you’ve already paid for your subscription, you should clear the balances owed. You will receive an email from Shopify informing you of this. However, you should remember that once you have paid for your subscription, you cannot reverse the process.

Cancel third-party apps
If you’d like to delete an app, you can do so in a few clicks. First, navigate to the settings of the app you wish to delete. Once you’ve done so, click “Delete.” Once this is complete, you can delete the app from your account. Note that you can still keep your domain name if you have a Shopify plan, but you’ll need to uninstall the app.
Before disabling your Shopify store, make sure to export any custom domains or gift cards you’ve purchased. After that, transfer your store’s domain name to another host. It’s always a good idea to keep your domains for future use, but you’ll have to transfer your existing website to a new server. To get the domain back, follow Shopify’s cancellation policy.
Cancel your custom domain
If you purchased a custom domain through a third-party service, you can easily cancel it by logging into your Shopify account. Once you have done this, you must turn off auto-renewal of the domain so that it does not be used for another website. Then, you must deactivate your custom domain by turning it off in your Shopify admin. If you wish to keep it, you can leave it in your account and let it expire. Alternatively, you can transfer the domain to another Shopify store or even another domain provider. However, if you want to permanently remove the domain, you should contact Shopify Support.

To cancel your custom domain, you must uninstall and disconnect any third-party apps that are tied to your store. You can also cancel your custom domain by listing your online store on Exchange Marketplace. If you wish to sell it, you must provide the reason for the sale. Once you’ve successfully completed the procedure, you’ll need to change your domain name to another registrar. Once you’ve done this, you’re ready to sell your store in the Exchange Marketplace.
Cancel your store
Cancelling a Shopify store is a simple process that allows you to stop using the platform. The first step in canceling your store is to log into your account and navigate to the Settings page. From the Settings page, click on the Plan tab. Look for the Deactivate Store button, which is located at the bottom of the plan details page. Click on it to open a pop-up window. Select the reason for closing the store. Click on the Close Store button to cancel the account.
Before you cancel a Shopify store, you should export the data from the site. This will save you time, as the software will save store data for up to two years. After two years, you will have to purchase a new plan to access your data. If you have a custom domain, you can also transfer it to another hosting platform or remove it from the list of domains. This process can be complicated, but it is possible.
